Sindh Goth Sudhar Sangat (SGSS)
The recent drought wave in the country has badly affected Sindh and Baluchistan.Many NGO and GOs are said to be active in relief work in the affected areas. Some of them are involved in lip services whereas some are really doing good job.
Raasta Development Consultants gave a call in Karachi for
the food items for the drought areas and it got tremendous response from Karachi. In Thar
so far 35 trucks comprised of various food item have been distributed.
TRDP facilitated Raasta in Thar.
Though Sindh has three arid zones Thar, Nara and Kacho or Kohistan. So far Thar was able
to get attention of Government of Pakistan, national and international NGOs but rest of
the two areas which were also equally affected but were neglected.
However, Raasta was the first one who was able to reach out in Kacho. So far nine trucks are distributed to 1500 families. In Kacho Raasta was facilitated by the Sindh Goth Sudhar Sangat (SGSS).
On behalf of people of Sindh Goth Sudhar Sangat I congratulate Raasta team for carrying out such a nobel work.I hope that they will continue this type of work with same zeal and spirit in future.
